1. Zion – Mount Carmel Highway

The 25-mile Zion-Mt. Carmel Drive in Zion National Park has some of the park's most breathtaking views. The Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel is passed as the road winds past imposing red rock formations and along the rims of deep gorges. Along the journey, you'll encounter wildlife like mule deer and bighorn sheep as well as breathtaking vistas of Zion Canyon and the surrounding mountains.

2. Scenic Byway 12

This 122-mile route passes through some of southern Utah's most breathtaking natural settings. The route departs at Panguitch and passes through the Dixie National Forest, Bryce Canyon National Park, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Along the trip, you'll pass impressive landscapes, hoodoos, and natural bridges as well as towering red rock formations.

3. Mirror Lake Highway

The 42-mile Mirror Lake Scenic Byway passes through Utah's tallest mountain range, the Uinta Mountains. The journey starts in Kamas and takes you past glistening alpine lakes, through deep forests, and over high mountain passes. You'll encounter wildlife like moose and elk as well as breathtaking vistas of the neighboring mountains and valleys along the way. Mirror Lake, a crystal-clear lake encircled by soaring mountains that reflects the surrounding scenery like a mirror, is the highlight of the drive.
