Holiday weekend traffic is expected to cause major slowdowns on key Utah corridors. The Utah Department of Transportation is warning drivers to plan ahead for up to an hour of additional travel delays, particularly along northbound I-15 through Utah County and westbound US-6 through Spanish Fork Canyon.

Demand for the long-awaited open house tour of the newly renovated Salt Lake Temple surged instantly as online reservations opened this week. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints reported that one million free reservation spots were claimed worldwide within the first 24 hours of going live.

Water levels at Lake Powell have officially reached a historic low, dipping to levels not seen since the reservoir was initially filling following the construction of Glen Canyon Dam in the 1960s. The milestone highlights ongoing drought challenges across the Colorado River basin.
