Two nights ago, BYU's AJ Dybantsa walked across the stage at Barclays Center in Brooklyn as the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft, the first player from a Utah school to ever go first in the history of the draft. The Jazz grabbed Darryn Peterson right behind him at No. 2. Then Richie Saunders came off the board in the second round. It was one of Utah basketball's best Tuesdays. 🎭 Derek Hough: Symphony of Dance runs Friday and Saturday at the Eccles Theater on Main Street downtown, with the Dancing with the Stars judge and choreographer leading an evening of original choreography, storytelling, and live music. Both nights start at 8 p.m., recommended for ages 8 and up, and Eccles is one of the best rooms in the city for this kind of show.
🌟 SLC Pride 2026 takes over the Marmalade District at 400 North and 400 West in Salt Lake City from Saturday through Sunday, free and open to the community. Saturday runs noon to 10 p.m., Sunday runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year's theme is "At the Intersection of..." with multiple performance stages, an adults-only alley curated by Pleasure Portals and Sappho SLC, and Fafa Fest programming for the Black, brown, and Indigenous community running inside the festival footprint all day Saturday.

🎸 MGK: Lost Americana Tour
Machine Gun Kelly and Wiz Khalifa hit the Amphitheatre for the Utah stop on one of the summer's bigger stadium tours. MGK's pop-punk era made him a live act worth watching; this tour leans back into his rap roots.

🤠 Riverton Town Days: Rodeo and Car Show
Riverton's annual summer festival brings a classic car show (10 a.m.–3 p.m.) and the main rodeo (gates 6:30 p.m., skydivers at 7:30 p.m., competition starts 8 p.m.) to Riverton City Park all in one day. The rodeo also ran Friday night if you want a second shot.

Park City's annual outdoor dinner event shuts down Historic Main Street from 5 to 9 p.m. for 20 restaurants to set tables in the open air, with multi-course menus and craft cocktails. 🌟 Live at Silver Lake: Michelle Moonshine Trio
Free afternoon live music on the lawn at Silver Lake at Deer Valley, part of the resort's summer music series running through September. Good excuse to head up the canyon on a Saturday afternoon.
