Good morning, Utah!

One hundred and seventy years ago this week, the first Mormon handcart pioneers departed Iowa City on foot, pushing everything they owned toward Salt Lake City in wooden carts. They arrived four months later.

Lots happening this weekend: A Broadway musical in its final performances, a free Latin arts festival running through Sunday in Park City, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band playing their last Utah show, and an entire street in Midvale that becomes an open-air gallery tonight.

  • Kid Cudi brings the Rebel Ragers Tour to West Valley City with M.I.A. and Big Boi

  • Back to the Future: The Musical closes at the Eccles on Saturday — last chance to see it

  • The Los Muros mural festival turns Midvale into an outdoor gallery, free to wander

  • The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band says farewell (for real this time) at Sandy Amphitheater

And much more!

Let's get to it.
